Five cars on Bring a Trailer this week that are worth knowing about, whether or not you're bidding: a Gullwing selling for charity, a Singer with under 700 miles, a nearly new Ferrari 488 Pista, a Ford GT in Alan Mann colors and one of 77 Porsche 935s.

Bring a Trailer runs more than a thousand live auctions at any one time. Most are ordinary. These five aren't. All the details below come from each car's listing, and all five auctions are open as of Wednesday, November 4.

1956 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing

Mercedes built 1,400 Gullwing coupes over three years. This one, chassis 5500869, left the factory in January 1956 for Hamburg. A month later it came back to have a radio and a windshield washer fitted, then went to Uruguay, where it's said to have been shown at the Montevideo motor show. A member of Uruguay's Terra family owned it until 1973.

Its next owner, a Uruguayan collector who raced vintage cars, kept it for three decades. During that time the 3.0-liter M198 straight-six was rebuilt to NSL specification, which the listing says included a competition camshaft, and the car got 15-inch Rudge knock-off wheels and a silver respray. After it came to the US in 2002, Rudi & Company refinished it in silver with blue decals in the style of a period works team livery. Its current owner bought it in 2008.

3.0-liter straight-six, Bosch direct fuel injection, four-speed manual. Calgary, Alberta. No reserve.

It's being sold at no reserve for charity. The winning bid, plus the buyer's fee, goes to the Trellis Society and the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation. Bidding had passed $1 million by Wednesday morning, and the auction closes Tuesday, November 10. See the listing

1989 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 by Singer

Singer Vehicle Design was founded in Los Angeles in 2009 by Rob Dickinson, who used to front the band Catherine Wheel. It takes a 964-series 911 back to its steel body and rebuilds it with carbon-fiber panels. Singer finished this car for its owner in September 2025, and it has covered 697 miles since.

The paint is a paint-to-sample Sapphire Blue with ghosted side stripes and Porsche script in Gotta Have It Green. The air-cooled flat-six was rebuilt to 4.0 liters with individual throttle bodies, and Singer rates it at 390 horsepower. It drives the rear wheels through a close-ratio six-speed manual.

4.0-liter flat-six, 390 hp, six-speed manual. Naperville, Illinois. Reserve.

The cabin is Oxford Blue Connolly leather with woven-leather inserts. There are eight-way Recaro seats, a MOMO wheel with a green center stripe and an 11,000-rpm tachometer. Front wheels are Fuchs-style, rears are Minilite, and all four are finished in nickel. The auction closes Friday, November 6. See the listing

Red 2020 Ferrari 488 Pista with silver and blue racing stripes, parked on a cobbled driveway in front of a hedge

2020 Ferrari 488 Pista, 137 miles

The Pista is the track-focused version of the 488. Carbon fiber is used for its doors, rear spoiler and front and rear fascias, which takes about 200 pounds off the regular car. The twin-turbo 3.9-liter V8 uses titanium connecting rods and exhaust manifolds from the 488 Challenge race car. Ferrari rated it at 710 horsepower.

This one is Rosso Corsa with Argento Nurburgring and Blu America stripes over a Nero Alcantara interior. Its first owner spent nearly $169,000 on options, including carbon racing seats, a nose lift, Ferrari telemetry and forged 20-inch wheels. The window sticker reads $516,991. In six years it has covered 137 miles.

Twin-turbo 3.9-liter V8, 710 hp, seven-speed dual-clutch. Glen Head, New York. Reserve.

The Carfax is clean. One thing to know: the listing says the car has a lien, so the lender must be paid off before the title can move. The auction closes Tuesday, November 10. See the listing

Red 2022 Ford GT Alan Mann Heritage Edition with gold and white stripes and the number 16, in a dark studio

2022 Ford GT Alan Mann Heritage Edition, 33 miles

Ford made this edition as a tribute to the lightweight experimental GT race cars that Alan Mann Racing built in 1966. The colors are Alan Mann Red with Gold Racing and Oxford White stripes. The second-generation GT, designed by Chris Svensson, was built by Multimatic in Markham, Ontario. It has a carbon-fiber tub with aluminum subframes front and rear.

Its mid-mounted twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 was rated at 660 horsepower. This car has gloss carbon-fiber 20-inch wheels, an Akrapovič titanium exhaust and Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes. It was delivered new to Madera Ford in California and has covered 33 miles. The current owner, who bought it in 2025, drove 14 of them.

Twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6, 660 hp, seven-speed dual-clutch. Scottsdale, Arizona. Reserve.

The listing says the original price with options was $769,000. It comes with its order sheet, service records and an accident-free Carfax. The auction closes Tuesday, November 10. See the listing

Bare carbon-fiber 2019 Porsche 935 track car with a large rear wing, parked on paving stones

2019 Porsche 935, number 32 of 77

Porsche unveiled the 935 at Rennsport Reunion VI at Laguna Seca in September 2018. It built just 77, as part of the company's 70th anniversary celebrations. It isn't road legal. The car is based on the 911 GT2 RS, and its long tail recalls the 1978 935 race car known as "Moby Dick." The twin-turbo 3.8-liter flat-six is rated at 700 horsepower.

This is car 32. It's bare carbon with Agate Grey roof pillars, a welded-in roll cage, a Recaro carbon seat and a Cosworth digital dash. The gear knob is laminated wood, a nod to the 917. The listing is open about the car's history. It had track accidents in 2021 and 2024, and Porsche Motorsport North America repaired it, replacing body panels, wheels, brakes and suspension parts. The car comes with more than $280,000 in service records.

Twin-turbo 3.8-liter flat-six, 700 hp, seven-speed PDK. Thermal, California. Reserve. Sold on a bill of sale.

There's no title, because it's a track car. It comes with spare wheels, aero parts and the factory spares package. The auction closes Monday, November 9. See the listing

What to watch

The Gullwing is the one to watch. A no-reserve auction for charity that has already passed $1 million is a live price test for one of the best-known 1950s cars, with the money going to Calgary charities rather than the seller.

As for the rest, the Singer and the 935 are both cars you can't simply order any more. Singer built this one for a single owner, and Porsche made only 77 935s. The Ford GT, with 33 miles in six years, is a car that has barely been driven.

The Garage runs every Monday and Thursday. Bring a Trailer listings change quickly, so check bids and closing times on each listing before you act.
