GTA 6 has made $750M before it's even out

Grand Theft Auto 6 has not shipped. On Sensor Tower's numbers, it has already done most of a blockbuster opening weekend.
The analytics firm estimates about 7.71 million digital pre-orders across PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, worth roughly $751 million, Dexerto reported. PlayStation accounts for about 74 percent of those orders, or 5.74 million copies and $559 million. Xbox takes the other 26 percent: 1.97 million copies and $192 million. Sensor Tower also figures more than $100 million of that haul landed in the past two weeks alone.
These are estimates, not Take-Two or Rockstar disclosures, and they cover digital only. Physical copies are outside the count. The comparison everyone reaches for is still useful as scale: GTA 5 did more than $800 million in worldwide sales in its first 24 hours in 2013, per Take-Two, and cleared $1 billion in three days. GTA 6's digital pre-order pile is already in that neighbourhood before anyone has loaded a save file.
The game launches on November 19, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with preloading set for November 10. A franchise that can raise three-quarters of a billion dollars on an estimate of unfinished transactions is not a product launch. It is a clearing house for attention that has been compounding since the first trailer.
Treat the $751 million as a signal, not an audited line item. The signal is loud enough.
