This Mercedes disguise begins with a McLaren 750S

From the front, the idea is convincing enough to make you stop. From the side, the McLaren begins to reappear.
American customiser S-Klub LA has turned a McLaren 750S into a Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR lookalike for the SEMA show. Carscoops reports that the conversion replaces much of the exterior with bodywork borrowing the German homologation car’s visual language: quad headlights, a shallow grille, a low nose, wide front arches and white aero-disc-style wheels.
The original CLK GTR is an exceptionally valuable car. Using a modern McLaren as the starting point avoids cutting up one of those originals, even if the idea of reskinning a 750S will offend a different set of purists.
The compromise is clearest around the glasshouse. Carscoops identifies a roof and door shapes that remain recognisably McLaren. Those larger, more flowing doors do not reproduce the compact forms of the Mercedes. This is a reinterpretation, not a dimensionally faithful replica.

At the rear, new lamps, a raised tail, fixed wing and carbon-fibre diffuser carry the theme. The McLaren’s central exhaust arrangement remains, another clue to what sits beneath the costume.
Inside, S-Klub has kept the 750S layout rather than attempting to rebuild the CLK GTR cabin. Red leather defines the driver’s side, while quilted white leather occupies the passenger side.
No new performance figures or completed build price are supplied in the report. The claim is visual. The result sits in an interesting middle ground: a very expensive donor car made to resemble an even more expensive one, without being mistaken for either when examined closely.
