Pet to adopt: Kuma, a 7-year-old Great Pyrenees who can come to you

Kuma spent six years with one family. Then life changed for them, and she went back to the rescue that placed her.
She's 7, about 80 pounds, fully vetted, and waiting in Austin with Texas Great Pyrenees Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
The rescue says she loves ear scratches, a sunny spot to lie in, walks and games of catch in the backyard. Her favorite foods are cheese sticks, salmon and roasted sweet potatoes. When she gets excited, she makes a little squeak.
One thing to know: loud noises scare her. Fireworks, gunshots and thunderstorms mean she needs a quiet place to go and someone to reassure her.
You don't have to live in Texas. The rescue coordinates transport to all 50 states, door to door, with licensed and insured pet transport companies. The adopter covers the cost.
She has already done six years of being a good dog. She's ready for more.
